Bahrain Tops Athletics Golds
Bahrain emerged as the leading nation in athletics on Tuesday, securing five out of 12 gold medals up for grabs at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Sports City, part of the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games (Riyadh 2025).
In the Men’s High Jump, Türkiye’s Yasir Kuduban and Uzbekistan’s Amir Nagaev tied for gold with identical heights. Oman’s Fatek Abdul Ghafoor claimed bronze.
In the Men’s Decathlon, Nodir Norbaev (UZB) won gold, with compatriot Zakhiriddin Shokirov taking silver, and Algeria’s Boudoumi Cherif securing bronze.
Egypt’s Mohamed Magdi won gold in the Men’s Shot Put, followed by IR Iran’s Mohammedreza Tayebi with silver and Bahrain’s Abdelrahman Mahmoud with bronze.
Bahrain's Birhanu Balew claimed gold in the Men’s 10,000m, ahead of Uganda’s Samuel Simba Cherop (silver) and Abel Chebet (bronze).
Türkiye’s Berke Akçam won gold in the Men’s 400m Hurdles, Morocco’s Elmehdi Dimoukrati took silver, and Ismail Nezier (TUR) earned bronze.
In the Women’s 400m Hurdles, Bahrain’s Oluwakemi Adekoya won gold, UAE’s Mariam Kareem silver, and Angounou Christelle (CAM) bronze.
Uzbekistan’s Ibrohim Makhkamov took gold in the Men’s Triple Jump, with Soumaila Sabo (BUR) winning silver and Sami Bakheet (KSA) bronze.

Winfred Yavi (BRN) clinched gold in the Women’s 3000m Steeplechase, followed by Tugba Yenigun (TUR) with silver and Morocco’s Ikram Ouaaziz with bronze.
Rooba Alomari (BRN) won the Women’s Para Shot Put F55/56 gold, ahead of Nigeria’s Ogochukwu Ogili (silver) and Nadha Alhumaydani (KSA) with bronze.
Algeria’s Zahra Tatar claimed gold in the Women’s Hammer Throw, with Oyesade Olatoye (NGA) earning silver and Zarinakhon Nosirjonova (UZB) bronze.

Türkiye dominated fencing on Tuesday at Boulevard Riyadh City, claiming both the Men’s Foil and Women’s Epee gold medals.

Handball Semifinals Set: KSA vs UAE, Qatar vs Bahrain
Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, and Bahrain advanced to the Men’s Handball Semifinals.
Group A: Saudi Arabia topped the group with 6 points after a 21–20 win over Kuwait. Bahrain joined them with 4 points, defeating IR Iran 28–25.
Group B: Qatar led with 6 points, followed by UAE with 4.
